This notice concerns ciaw.es, the informational website of the Center for Innovation in Ancient Worlds (CIAW), an independent, non-profit academic initiative founded in 2025 and based in Catalonia, Spain. CIAW's website and AI & Antiquity's journal platform are separate websites.
Contact and enquiries
The CIAW website has no account registration or contact form. Carlos Heredia Chimeno, founder of CIAW, is the published contact person for academic enquiries. If you contact us by email, your address and message are handled for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. For questions about your correspondence and requests concerning personal data you have sent, write to carlos.heredia@uab.cat.
Website hosting and third-party services
This public website is hosted by GitHub Pages. Technical access information may be processed by the hosting provider in the ordinary course of serving web pages. The website uses system typefaces and does not load external Google Fonts. External academic and social-media links lead to sites with their own privacy policies.

CIAW does not currently embed advertising, analytics trackers, or cookie-based profiling scripts on this website. Third-party services accessed through outgoing links are subject to their own policies.

CIAW is an independent non-profit academic initiative based in Catalonia, Spain. Its contributors may hold appointments at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) or elsewhere; those affiliations do not make CIAW an administrative unit of their universities. The editorial platform AI & Antiquity has separate journal-specific policies and submission procedures.
